The Summer May Now Begin

Cuppa tea in hand and ready to write again...

Iv been bursting to have a mothers meeting with my little laptop, sipping on a tea as I spill out the last few weeks events. I have had exams over the last few weeks so my mornings, days and even late nights with my little lappytop have not been ones of enjoyment! On the morning of my last exam I popped in to town early just to purchase the trashiest magazine I could find, and also copy of Vogue, because the thought of being able to read for pleasure again was far too exciting. I taped away with a head jam packed full of biology and psychology information (trying to push the thought of my magazines to the back of my head) for a few hours and then thank god it was finished. The year and half of study was finally over and the summer could really begin ! Iv have meet some truly beautiful people and made some life long friends on this course, and I will really miss seeing some of their faces every week but I could not be happier that its over.

So I am currently sat with my daughter in the garden, playing mummies and babies for some much needed mummy and daughter time, catching up on some mummy blogs and writing all of the posts iv been wanting to write for the last few weeks :)

An Old Town Adventure

Helloooo humaniods ! Currently sat with morning Tea with my little lady, wondering what to do today as its a cloudy day at the seaside today.

As its been half term I have had a whole week to spend with my little family it has been beautiful. While daddy is at work though me and Lilah Beau like to go on our own little adventures. I am a total shabby chic-oholic, so I love looking round vintage, unique boutiques which Margate old town is PERFECTO for ! I am a very lucky mummy as Lilah also lovesss doing this.

We jumped on the bus over to Margate old town, and walked along the little coddled streets to the Cup Cake Cafe...... (like Disney land for me)  Its a beautiful shabby chic cafe, with shelves packed with beautiful tea cups, old trinkets and everything floral!

All the way there Lilah said she wanted a blue cup cake, so she had a blueberry cup cake, and a ham sandwich on a amazing little floral plate with gold edging and I had a thick chunky ham cheese and pickle sandwich with salad and a vanilla cup cake and not forget a tea pot of tea and the cutest little tea cup.

After we stuffed our guts, we strolled along looking for the little boutiques, Lilah didnt want to leave one when she saw these amazing maileg toys, I personal would buy them for my self to have on display their so sweet.

Another shop we visited was full to the brim of old furniture, and the most random retro things, Lilah dragged me in after her, when she spotted it.

When we where all shopped out we walked along to the new beach steps on Margate sea front, we sat and chatted and played a spot of WHAT'S THE TIME MR WOLF !!!!!

And that was the end of our vintage seaside adventure :)

Date Night

As I have mentioned in previous post, at the moment there is a four day small music festive on, at Ramsgate see front, so as its a bank holiday me and my partner decided that Sunday night will be our date night !! We headed down there for 6 o'clock as there was a local band playing called The Locals. we have wanted to see them for a long time, every one always says how brilliant they are at making an atmosphere. Once a small pub in Broadstairs had to replace their flooring as everyone was jumping around going mad for them so much that they actually broke the floor !

They really were good, got everyone dancing! The Locals play various covers from mumford and sons to Nelly !! would recommend to any one to see these. Me and Jordan sometime's day dream about our wedding, we both would love to have lots of live bands playing and The Locals are on both of our lists when that days come's :)

Another lovely little bundle of joy for the ears that played was Ben mills big band. Ben mills was on an early series of The X Factor, where he got on to the live shows! His voice is amazing even with the dodge sound system of last night !

Crumpets, Tea and Sand

Good Monday-Bank-Holiday Morning to you  !

At this moment in time, as per usual I am sat with a big cup of tea, you might notice a patten here.. hence the name (tea guzzling monster) Also I have never got over that channel 4 stopped playing two episodes of Friends in the morning, so on the weekend/day off/bank holiday/whenever I can, my Friends box set goes straight on.

So yesterday it was a beautiful sunny Sunday, and one of my lovely friends was a tad down as her sailor boyfriend was off to join the navy and going to be gone for a long time, so me and Lilah went round armed with tea and crumpets for her and her daughter. We then took a stroll down to the beach as there is a four day music festive on there at the moment.

I have a beautiful friend called India. Indie, her daughter Esmeyan and her mum have an amazing eye for anything beautiful, they brought the outfit Lilah beau is wearing in this picture, and my mum crocheted the cardigan.

The Birthday Tree

Morning morning,  I am currently sat with a big mug of coffee trying to recover from birthday antics .... not mine but my daughters! I am stuffed ever so slightly with too much cake!

I love family traditions, so I wanted to think of one for my new little family, when it came to me on Lilah beau's first Christmas...... I came up with a Birthday Tree !!

So every year now on Lilah beau's birthday I pull out our white tree, cover it in pink and turn it in to a birthday tree, she lovesss it :) .........Although the post man always takes a double look, seeing a "Christmas tree" in May.

This year family came down from London, we went out for a lovely meal, stuffed to much ice cream then Lilah Beau had a party at a venue on the sea front. It was an array of beautiful family, friends and yummy mummy's.

The City of Dreams

Sooo .. I didn’t think that one of my first blogs would be about a book but I have fallen in love…with New York all over again, after reading I Heart New York by Lindsey Kelk.

However I did get very embarrassed after laughing out loud on a packed out bus on my morning commute, and then almost missing my stop on the way home because I disappeared in to the book for over an hour completely forgetting I was even on a bus in England! I was convinced I was chasing yellow cabs outside Macy’s.

Angela is a wannabe writer who has just found out her boyfriend has been cheating on her... and all of her friends knew. So blindly jumps on the first plane out of England and ends up staring out of a hotel window in New York.
Angela Clark has aspirations and you felt her love for the city shine through, along with her confusion about how she ended up there in the first place. The descriptions of the city made me want to pack up and move there myself.

Me and my partner often day dream about packing up our little family and moving to the big apple one day. Living like city people, running for their yellow cabs and sitting in coffee shops blogging all day, then watching the fashion parade of New York mums as I pick Lilah Beau up from school. All while Jordans up in Wall Street in a fresh suit earning us some dollar ….. oh day dreams hey! :)

The Scary First Post

Ok… Hi there beautiful people!  First ever blog post, now that’s scary, it’s actually took me 6 hours and 13 minutes to finally brave it and simple tap away on this laptop. So silly thinking about it but I love the blogging world so much that I felt scared to put my own word out there, if that makes any sense to any one :)

It is properly best to start with who what and where ?
My name is Becky, I am 22 year old tea guzzling monster, from the little sea side town in Kent (many fellow chums don’t like it here… I think people just like to moan :) )  I love it here, from the stink of sea weed in the morning to the beautiful little boutiques springing up everywhere at the moment. I think it is an onwards and upwards kind of place.

I have my man and beautiful daughter in toe, who give everyday a direction and reason and are behind every thought and act.
Sooooo I guess here it goes ……. Il be blogging about the things that I get excited about, from mummy blogging to anything shabby-chic/fashionable or even just shinning and pretty! and even if no one ever reads this I think it will be amazing for Lilah beau to read as a diary when she is older :)
